Granulating technology was applied and developed in proprietary Chinese medicine processing in ancient China. Now it is widely used in pharmaceutical industry, preparation of powder metallurgy materials and alloy, metallurgy, ceramic and fertilizer industries. In recent years in the production of diamond tools, in order to improve the production efficiency and quality of cold pressing head, to achieve automated production, granulating process was developed and applied.
Granulating process was applied and developed in powder metallurgy and diamond tools industry, mainly due to it has the following advantages:
1, Powder liquidity was improved and enhanced. Powder after granulating, the particle diameter is larger than the original powder particle size, the number of particles around each particle can be exposed reduced, so its adhesion, cohesion and friction greatly reduced, so as to improve and enhance liquidity of the particles.
2, Reduce the segregation and accumulation of powder and diamond, more uniform distribution, improve the performance of the products. In granulating process, the first step is to mix powder, diamond and binder. And then add solvent, wetting mixing and granulating again, every diamond is packaged by powder, and then cold press forming and sintering. So as to prevent the accumulation of diamond and segregation of powder, and improve the sintering performance, uniformity and stability of the products.
3, Improved the precision of size and weight of the products. Due to the liquidity increasing of mixed powder, the powder products loading and cold pressing ore uniformly, cold pressing products geometry size and the weight precision improved. This is better for the pressing of special-shaped products, sandwich cutting head and laser welding saw blade.
